Mobile mapping
Mobile mapping transforms the way we capture, measure, and analyse the world around us. Utilising state-of-the-art sensors and equipment mounted on moving vehicles vehicles we gather high-resolution geospatial data while on the move.
This approach allows for the efficient collection of vast amounts of data, covering extensive areas that would be time-consuming and costly to survey using traditional methods.
At the heart of mobile mapping is the integration of various technologies including GPS (Global Positioning System), LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging),and photogrammetry. These components work in together to accurately capture and record the environment to a high specification working to your requirements.
GPS provides precise location information, ensuring data is geographically anchored.
LiDAR sensors emit laser beams to measure distances and generate detailed 3D models of the surroundings.
Photogrammetry uses photography to capture the physical reality, enabling the creation of maps and 3D models. Our mobile mapper uses a 360-degree camera and other high-resolution cameras to capture imagery.
